I've spent 20 years as a GP. In my youth I played professional squash rackets internationally. This led to a strong interest in musculoskeletal & sports medicine.

My wife and I grow and make wine on an organic vineyard in North Canterbury. We do much of the work in both the vineyard and the winery ourselves, so I really do understand how important it is to remain healthy and pain free.

I am a keen golfer and have recently taken up learning Classical Guitar.

I get enormous satisfaction from helping people overcome their pain to get on with a "normal" life.

My Approach.

Ongoing pain needs to be taken seriously. It can be a very complex issue. I have considerable experience working with chronic pain patients. Experience shows that sometimes a multi-disciplinary approach is required. Exercise, nutrition, rehabilitation, along with changes in both attitude and behaviour can complement a medical approach.
